Ingredients: • 1 head butter lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces .
• 1 medium head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
• 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, lightly toasted
• 2 pears, sliced into eighths
• 2 tomatoes cut in quarter slices
• 1 cup shaved carrot 2 tsp. olive oil (or another vegetable oil)
• 1 pkg. Country Apple Sausage—each link sliced lengthwise
• Herb Vinaigrette (recipe follows).
Instructions: 1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl,
except oil and the sausage.
Toss with enough vinaigrette to lightly coat the salad.
2. Heat the oil and sauté the sausage links
until lightly browned.
Remove from oil, pat dry and cut into thirds
(six slices per link).
3. Add sausage to salad and serve.
